We Stand For Social and Environmental JusticeOur Mission
We aim to understand the everyday lived experiences of those facing Socio-Environmental injustices in the Gulf South in order to create digital tools which aid those communities in their struggle for justice. We use these tools to grow relationships across the Gulf South that co-construct knowledge and co-produce visions of a more just social and ecological landscape.
Our Approach
It’s essential for us that our partners get personalized approaches to their specific issues. Rather than do things the typical way, we’ve created a system designed around community needs.
We are a collective of students, faculty, and community members dedicated to spreading awareness about Social and Environmental injustices in the Gulf South region through the utilization of digital tools, spatial and data analytics, engaged community advocacy, and the building of sustained collaborative partnerships.
